Submit a Proposal to present at the BYU CSA Conference 2022 or register below.

The Brigham Young University Cybersecurity Student Association (CSA) is currently inviting student paper proposals for the BYU CSA Conference 2022. The second annual CSA Conference will be held 18th – 19th February 2022 at Brigham Young University. The conference provides a platform for cybersecurity students to present their cybersecurity related research and projects with other students and faculty. Personal research and projects are critical in the discipline of cybersecurity and we want to help you showcase your work.

Authors who intend to submit a paper proposal should complete the submission survey below. Initial proposals are due by January 31st, 2022. Final papers/presentations must be submitted by February 15, 2022 for final review.

The 2022 CSA Conference will be divided into four themed sessions that match the newly introduced BYU CSA Emphases: Digital Forensics, Threat Intelligence, Penetration Testing, and Network Security. Upon submission of a proposal, you will be required to self-select the session that most closely fits with your research and presentation. For further questions about each session please contact the CSA Emphasis Heads or send your questions to

A successful proposal includes a 250-word abstract of your research or proposed project that represents a 15-20 minute presentation. Examples are provided below. All proposals should be submitted by January 31st, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MT.

Once your abstract is accepted, CSA student leadership and faculty advisors will work with you to hone your research and provide feedback to improve your final presentation. This is an excellent opportunity for students to exercise their technical writing and public communication skills.
