Work in the CSRL
Working as a student researcher is a great way to supplement your education and help cover tuition. The CSRL presents a unique opportunity to help find solutions to some of the biggest threats of our time. Opportunties may include working on a research project, systems administration, writing papers or being part of a student security team.
How to start
Graduate and undergraduate (freshman through senior) may apply to work in the CSRL. A keen interest and desire to learn are more important than experience and knowledge. Researchers with more than a years employment are expected to provide mentoring opportunities to newer participants and the IT student population as time permits. We have found student to student mentoring to be a very effective tool in gaining advanced cyber-security skills as well as in building lasting professional relationships.
